Spiritual Progressive Rock Artist Reviews |

The Road (70) Steve Hackett (and his brother John) played on this project in 1970 before he joined Genesis. It is described as "a conceptual folk/psych album with a distinct late 60s flavor and a religious flower power bent". The review site also mentioned the album's progressive structure, heady orchestrations, fuzzy psych guitars, sad-eyed folkisms, whimsical melodies and exultant vocal harmonies, all of which discribe it nicely." Song titles include The Great Birth, Christ, Let Everybody Sing, and Love is Walking. One page described it as "religious crap." I haven't found a copy of this for a real review, but was disturbed to see on Steve's web page how he explains that the lyrics on the record came from an African medium.
